Almost everyone who has been following this blog knows what the Noxia look like but it’s time to go into some overall rough details on them as a whole. The Noxia in essence are what you could consider massive Oriental Dragons with a minor twist to their layout. The Noxia are compiled of a body that is made almost entirely of a thick, black sludge that is best related to Tar of the human world and our world. They have no bones, they have nothing within other than this essence as it is called. They are almost like most invertebrates in the sense that their bodies support themselves with minor hardened structures on the inside. 

When the Noxia are whole they have a solid body in which is like that of a ‘serpentine’ dragon, they can however take the shape of many other things depending on their desires at the time. Such as how Ashendale can take on the appearance of Valturez when he so desires. In many cases the Noxia will take on other shapes to lure in their prey and give their pray a false sense of security. However the downfall to the Noxia is that no matter what form they take they are almost always Black or Melanistic in coloration, or, if they are powerful enough they can manifest into the form and retain their ‘natural body shell colors’, IE: If Canicus wanted to meld into the form of a horse his outer colors would transfer into that form however he would still retain a melanistic coloration which means he would have more darker/black patches.

Now when I mention the ‘natural body shell color’ that is speaking of the colorations of their skin what they look like on the ‘outside’ you see ALL Noxia are the same in the inside they are all made up of the Tar like substance and in most cases they would be a jet black creature with little to no details on their bodies. Giant black snake dragons if you would. In order to tell one another apart the Noxia have developed a means of ‘colorizing’ themselves with different patterns. They can range from a mixture of colors but the Noxia have taken a shining to Natural Horse Colors such as how Aliah’s colorations are based off a Grullo/Grulla Horse or how Zecklin’s coloration is based around a Tiger/Zorse coloration. It varies quite a lot and they can have a wide array of colors, but the majority are based around Horses or their relative cousins.

The major things to know about the Noxia are their faces, the major feature of the Noxia is that the front half of their jaws reveals a bone like structure. This is not an injury and is in fact a key part to their forms. The noxia are giant parasites, the bone like structure on the fronts of their jaws are hard, extremely hard and are the piece of the Noxia that allows them to latch onto a host and dig their ways inside so that they can hole up and achieve their goal of becoming whole. This is the ONLY part of the Noxia’s body besides their horns and claws that is solid and hard. The rest of the Noxia’s body is very soft and pliable to the touch.
